John T. "Hammy" Hamilton

John T. "Hammy" Hamilton, of Holliston passed away on Thursday January 6, at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.

John was born in Framingham , son of the late Walter and Helen (Gannon) Hamilton. He was a member of the Framingham High School , class of 1968. He was a union laborer affiliated with Local 609 in Framingham for many years. A sports enthusiast, he played for Wallace's in the Framingham Slow Pitch Softball league and enjoyed coaching and watching his children play in the Hopkinton Little League. He was a die-hard Red Sox fan and statistician and a member of the Framingham Eagles, FOE # 894.

He leaves his children, Ashley, Ryan, Devlin and Jake Hamilton, all of Hopkinton; two sisters, Pat Langley of Holliston and Marguerite Bedford of Sandwich; a brother, Norman Hamilton of Framingham; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Stephen's Church, 221 Concord St., Framingham. Burial will take place at a later date in the family lot in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to: The American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA. 01701.
