If you are 55 plus, SOAR 55 will personally assist you in your volunteer search. Choose from over 80 volunteer opportunities; help a nonprofit organization develop or expand their volunteer program; share your love and excitement of reading with a fifth grader by reading and talking about stories, now and throughout the summer; assist a museum’s membership and development staff with outreach efforts; work with culturally diverse families in early childhood literacy training; lead the planning and execution of a critical fund-raiser or use marketing strategies and tactics to promote awareness and support for an organization that provides transportation to older adults and the visually impaired; serve as a member of the Early Childhood Alliance of Framingham (ECAF) Leadership Council and/or as an Action Team member and help support and prioritize the goals and activities of the strategic plan; share your love of vegetable gardening with incarcerated women at MCI Framingham; assist S OAR 55 with the placement and data management of volunteers and public and nonprofit organizations; and much more! 


SOAR 55 is a program of Newton Community Service Center, and part of a national network of volunteer agencies mobilizing adults 55 and over to contribute their skills and experience to help strengthen and expand the capacity of local community service organizations in Newton and MetroWest
