12th Annual Kite Day on Bose Mountain Sunday

Bring your own kite or purchase a kit at the event; there will be free kites for the first 500 families.

 

Sunday is the 12th Annual Kite Day on Bose Mountain.

Sponsored by the the Autism Alliance of MetroWest, A Program of Advocates, Inc. and Framingham-based The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc. the event celebrates autism. The community is invited to take part from noon to 4 p.m.

Bring your own kite or purchase a kit at the event. There will be free kites for the first 500 families.

New this year will be free trackless train rides. The Framingham Police wil offer fingerprinting. Both the Framingham Police and Framingham Fire will have vehicles and trucks for kids (and adults) to explore.

Food will be available for purchase and there will also be character appearances, games, face painting and giveaways.

Directions to Bose Mountain: Take Route 9 West. Take right onto California Ave. at Framingham Industrial Park. Follow California Ave through the lights. At the base of the mountain, take a left onto Mountain Rd. Follow the kite signs to the top.
