1. Congrats to Dave Wilkie, who was the Framingham winner in the Patch Deck the House contest. The 24 national finalists will be announced today. Each Top 24 finalist is guaranteed $500 to help pay those holiday-sized electric bills and a shot at winning a $100,000 donation for their public school district.

2. Vacation Week Movie Matinee: Mr. Popper’s Penguins at the main Framingham library. The free showing begins at 2 p.m.

3. Yesterday was final day of the last of the Filene's Basement stores. While the Framingham location closed in 2009, several stores became part of the Syms chain; but all Syms and Filene's Basement stores closed their doors for good yesterday. What was your favorite purchase from Filene's Basement? Where do you go now for bargains? Tell us in the comment section. Also tell us what store should open in the former Filene's Basement location on Route 30. Residents have already made several good suggestions.

4. Wrestling Matches continue today in the Framingham High School Holiday Tournament at Framingham High.

5. Meet Leah Graves our newest Framingham Patch blogger. Her first blog post yesterday focused on making new year's resolutions. Did you make a resolution in 2011? Did you keep it? Tell us in the comment section.
