5 Things You Need To Know Today: April 3

Today is election day. Polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

 

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Today is election day. Polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. Please get out a vote today. Assistant Town Clerk Lisa Ferguson is predicting about a 12% voter turnout.If you are not sure where you vote, please click here.

Framingham Patch will be at the Memorial Building reporting on the election results tonight. FYI: The town's clerk's office will be closed today except for election needs.

2. The Framingham High Flyers Boys & Girls varsity outdoor track teams have a home meet against Weymouth High at Bowditch Field at 3:45 p.m.

3. Marian High boys baseball team will travel to Weston High for an away game at 3:30 p.m.

4. The Framingham Library trustees will hold a closed door Search Committee Meeting as it continues to interview a candidate to replace library director Jeanne Kelley. The meeting takes place at the main Framingham Library at 11 a.m. Trustees will also review resumes.

5. Main Framingham Library Book Club will meet tonight at 7 to discuss The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes. The discussion will be led by Marilyn Harter.
