5 Things You Need To Know Today: Feb. 4 [VIDEO]

Honoring a coach, writers workshop, water main break, yoga for veteran and Super Bowl advertisements all featured in today's column.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Over the weekend, Framingham Hockey honored Coach Bobby Brown for his more than 50 years of service. Check out the slideshow of photos and video from the event.

2. Framingham Library is holding a workshop for writers led by Nadine Kenney Johnstone, a writer and instructor at Framingham State University at 7 p.m.Participants will read published flash (extra-short) fiction and nonfiction and discuss the benefits of brevity in writing. Then, writers will compose their own flash story which will be revised and polished. Writers of all levels are welcome, and commitment to attending all four sessions is encouraged. Free.

3. Edwards Church will host veterans yoga at 6 p.m. Free.
