Michael Baran, a professor of cultural anthropology and director of Cambridge Diversity Consulting, will join MetroWest Mothers & More group for a discussion on how kids learn about race at 7:30 p.m. at Whitney Place Assisted Living Residences, 3 Vision Dr. in Natick. Baran runs the Race Awareness Project, which brings together art, technology and education to get people talking about race. The group recently designed two Apps for the iPhone/iPad that get kids and adults thinking and talking about race.
4. Join the weekly Zumba fitness party at Greater Framingham Community Church at 6:30 p.m. $7 per person, net proceeds benefit the church.
