5 Things You Need To Know Today: July 14

The MetroWest Mavericks home opener, God of Carnage, Anything Goes and a new hair salon featured in today's column.

 

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Artistic Edge Hair Salon, with owner Jen Brumm, will hold a grand opening today. Located at 1151 Worcester Rd, on the westbound side of Route 9 next to Papa Ginos, the salon will host a grand opening reception beginning at 4 p.m. with live entertainment and food. 2. Catch a performance of God of Carnage at Amazing Things Arts Center tonight.

3. The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest's cast of Anything Goes will perform at Brighton Collectibles at the Natick Mall today 3 pm. Stop byand support the students and purchase a special bracelet to benefit PAC!

4. Visit the Fountain Street Fine Art gallery today between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to view Internal Combustion: a Juried Art Exhibit.

5. The MetroWest Mavericks, a new semi-pro football team, will play its home opener of the season tonight at Bowditch Field. Kick off is at 7 p.m. andthe national anthem will be sung by an American Idol Season 9 contestant. The Mavericks will battle the Granite State Knights. $6 for adults. Kids are free.
