5 Things You Need To Know Today: July 6 [VIDEO]

Beach time, teeth, Mamadou and Off the Hook are featured in today's column.

 

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Concerts on the Green returns tonight at 6:30 at the Framingham Center Common, also known as the Village Green. Tonight oldies band Off the Hook will take the stage. Stop by the Framingham Patch tent and say hello. We are proud to be a sponsor of the summer concert series for the second year in a row!

2. Melvin A. "Dr. Mel" Ehrlich, D.D.S. and his staff have been offering Infant Oral Health Program to toddlers under the age of 3 for almost 20 years now. This morning at 10 a.m. there is a free seminar with examination is designed to help parents assure a cavity-free child. The informal format assures that all parents' questions will be answered. Reservations is required for the monthly program.

3. Framingham's three town beaches oare open today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. All three beaches - Learneds, Saxonville and Waushakum required beach pass for admittance. Resident season passes may be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office. Cost is $15 per person or $40 per family. Daily passes can be purchased at each beach - $3 per person for resident and $6 per person for non-resident. Lifeguards are at all three beaches.

5.  Mamadou, who won the 2011 Boston Music Award for International Artist of the Year, will take the stage tonight at 8 at Amazing Things Arts Center. Tickets $16.
