Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.
1.Do you love spooky tales? Then reserve a spot tonight to hear professional storyteller Libby Franck, Legends and Lore author Jim Parr and The Three Witches of Framingham render a spooky collection of tales from the musty tomes of the Framingham History Center's literary collection from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Edgell Memorial Library. Appropriate fro ages 10 and older. $5 per person. Reserve a space by emailing charlene@framinghamhistory.org
2. Framingham and MetroWest teens will stage Zombie Prom at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest (PAC) tonight at 7:30. Advanced tickets are $16 and $14 for youths and seniors. Tickets at the door will be $2 more, if the show is not sold out. To purchase tickets, call the PAC office at 508-875-5554.
3. Potter Road Elementary is holding its annual Pumpkin Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The family-friend event, in which the community is invited, features arts & crafts, pumpkin painting, crazy hat station, Sandy Candy, Minute to win it, bake sale and more!
4. Barnes & Noble Booksellers is hosting a storytime and Halloween parade today at 11 a.m.
5. Tonight is the final night of Hanson's Haunted Farm Tickets $16 adults and $14 for children 12 and under. Haunted hayrides are from 7 to 10 p.m.
