5 Things You Need To Know Today: Sept. 19 [VIDEO]

Framingham's Master Plan, Open House, Forks Over Knives, Good Scout Honoree and curriculum night all featured in today's column.

 

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Framingham Selectmen will hold a joint meeting with the Planning Board to review the town's master plan. Also on the agenda for selectmen is articles for the Oct. 16 Special Town Meeting. Meeting starts at 7:30 in the Memorial Building.

2. Fuller Middle School will hold an open house from 7-9 p.m. Parents can meet their kids teachers and administrators. Follow your child's typical schedule and hear what they will be learning this year. Stop by the library for a fundraising book fair.

3. Jointly sponsored by Open Spirit and the Earthcare Team of Grace and Edwards churches there is a screening of the movie Forks Over Knives tonight at 7 at Edwards Church. This movie explores how a whole foods, plant based diet can affect your health and prevent/even cure chronic disease.

4. For his involvement with youth in Framingham, Knox Trail Council Boy Scouts of America will award Jason Smith with the 2012 Framingham Good Scout Award tonight at Ken’s Steak House.
