5 Things You Need To Know Today: Super Bowl Sunday

Framingham Patch would love to see photos of you or your family in Patriots gear. Upload them to our Neighborhood Gallery.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. It's Super Bowl Sunday. The New England Patriots will battle the New York Giants tonight at 6:30 p.m. on NBC. Are you ready for the game? Do you plan to watch? Tell us in our unscientific poll.

2. Red Sox start spring training later this month ... and this morning Temple Beth Am Brotherhood will continue its breakfast and speaker series with Tom Caron of NESN Sports. Framingham resident Caron serves as studio host for NESN’s Boston Red Sox coverage. He will talk about the Red Sox collapse of last year, as well as this upcoming season under their new manager. There will be a Q&A period. Buffet Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. Cost: $10 per person.

3. Looking for something to do this afternoon? Stop by the Fountain Street Fine Arts gallery and check out the First Anniversary: Paper exhibit. Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. Garden in the Woods has a Winter Wonders Walk scheduled for this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. $11 non-members, $9 members.

5. Finally, we'd love to see photos of you or your family in Patriots gear. Upload  them to our Neighborhood Gallery.

Embarrassing as this is to admit, I know nothing about football except the whole 4-down thing. Unless there is left wing, right wing, center, left d, right d, goalie, I'm lost! I will, however, be watching the Superbowl, and getting my Superbowl hoagies from the Holliston Masons. GO PATS?!
