$7,500 Raised for Framingham-Based Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation
Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty Agents raised more than $7,500 to support breast cancer research.
Trina Macchi and Leslie Mann of Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty raised more than $7,500 at the Holiday Shopping Soiree and Fashion Show fundraiser to benefit the Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation of Framingham.
One hundred percent of the money raised will go directly to fund a research grant at the Silent Spring Institute, who is investigating the environmental causes of breast cancer.
A festive atmosphere greeted the hundreds of soiree guests, who had an opportunity to tour one of the most admired estate homes in Hopkinton (www.52HaydenRowe.com), an Italianate Victorian home, which is currently on the market.
Guests enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres, shopped from more than a dozen fashion and jewelry vendors and viewed the gorgeous Holiday Collection of Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs, during an informal fashion show.
The home was exquisitely decorated for the holidays by the Plant Bazaar Florist of Westborough, whose elegant floral arrangements and garlands highlighted the home's distinctive architecture.
Pianist Betty Wyckoff and many of her exceptional students, including Brian & Zachary Best, Erin & Keelen Smith, Catherine Kniaz, Ruth Richardson, and Emily Shea, volunteered as performers that evening, delighted the crowd with a selection of classical and contemporary music pieces as well as Celtic music.
Platinum Cut and Color Boutique generously provided goodie bags filled with special offers plus eco-friendly products.
The evening's festivities were capped off with the announcement of highly anticipated raffle prizes, including jewelry from Tiffany's and deluxe accommodations at the Ritz Carlton.
"We were thrilled with the amazing turnout for the event," said Ellie Anbinder, co-founder of the Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation. "The money raised will fund critical breast cancer research at the Silent Spring Institute investigating the health impacts of fire retardants."
"We're so grateful for the outpouring of support in our community for the Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation," said Trina Macchi, Realtor with Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty of Hopkinton. "This money will fund important research in the fight to eradicate this disease. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the event, and all of the volunteers and sponsors who made this evening possible."
Rick Scherer of the Bank of Canton, Real Estate Attorney Karen Jennings-Flynn, and Ball Financial Services generously signed on as premier event sponsors. Complements Art Gallery, Nicholas Michaels Spa, Rosemary Fletcher Photography, Divine Kitchens, the Music Nook, Simply Dahlicious, Holmestead Properties, Dolan & Maloney Insurance, Ambit Press, Action Copy Plus, Roche Brothers, All Pro Cleaning Systems, Julio's Liquors, Outside the Window Box Florist, Stop & Shop, Main Street Wine & Spirits, and Curry Audio & Video also supported the event.
