UPDATED: 22% of Framingham Without Power

Schools are closed for a second day and at 11 p.m. NSTAR is reporting the highest number of customers without power with more than 6,500.

As of 11 p.m. NSTAR is reporting its highest number of customers in Framingham without power with 6,523 customers or 22% of the town.

As of 7:45 p.m. 19% of Framingham is without power or 5,551 customers

7:25 p.m. Framingham municipal offices will be closed until noon on Tuesday, for all non-emergency workers.

6 p.m. - McAuliffe Charter School will be closed Tuesday, from its director.

6:05 p.m.Framingham Public Schools closed on Tuesday, too.

As of 5:55 p.m. 16% of Framingham is without power or 4,696 customers

 As of 4:15 p.m. 14% of Framingham without power or 4,067 customers.

As of 3:30 p.m. 13% of Framingham without power or 3,967 customers out of NSTAR's 29,674 customers.

NSTAR, at 3 p.m., is reporting 8 percent of Framingham without power.

The NSTAR map shows 2,502 with out power in Framingham out of the about 30,000 customers.

Many reports are in Saxonville, where most of NSTAR's tree clearing efforts were this year.

Trees are reported on Grove Street, Derby Street and Warren.

A tree fell onto the home of Danya Klein on Rose Lane. Everyone is safe. She sent Framingham Patch a few photos, which are uploaded to this report.

Schools are closed today, Town of Framingham offices closed at 11 a.m., as did the Framingham Libraries.

Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has its communication center open.

NSTAR inadvance of the storm’s arrival, opened its emergency operations center this morning and staffed its regional work centers across the state. Approximately 1,200 contract personnel from as far away as Texas and the Midwest are assisting NSTAR’s 3,000 employees in their efforts. These crews are already hard at work and will remain at the ready as the storm progresses, according to a press release issued at 2:30 p.m.

NSTAR’s call center is fully staffed and ready to field customer calls. If a customer loses power, it is important they report their outage at once to NSTAR. Customers can report outages by calling 1-800-592-2000 or through www.nstar.com, said the press release.

Susan - looks like it's back down to 13% thankfully. Do we know when the worst of this will have passed?
