AAA: Gas Prices Up 4 Cents

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 24 cents, from a low of $3.65 to a high of $3.89.

 

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up four more cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham off Route 9.

AAA’s Feb. 25 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.769 per gallon, four cents higher than a week ago, according to a press release. Prices locally are up 31 cents over the past month.

The current price is one cent below the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.77.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.68.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 24 cents, from a low of $3.65 to a high of $3.89. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area.

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week: If you have a choice of vehicles, take the one that gets the best gas mileage.
