It was a battle of two undefeated teams Tuesday night; but the weather wanted a say in the outcome delaying it with thunder and ending it early with lightning.
Who needs the Olympics, when you have two local teams battling it out in the pool.
Framingham travelled to Newton to take on the undefeated Bluefish Swim team. Both teams were 5-0, entering the meet.
The weather caused havoc with the meet, as thunder delayed the meet right after its start and lightning cancelled the meet early. The final relays did not take place.
In the end, the Newton Bluefish won 236.5 to 145.5. Newton is now 6-0.
More than 400 swimmers competed in the meet. Newton and Framigham are the two largest swim teams in the summer league.
The Framingham Frogs will be back in the pool Thursday night for a meet against neighboring Natick. The meet takes place at Keefe Technical pool at 6 p.m.
