Compounding Pharmacy Settled Lawsuit; Man Died

New England Compounding Center settled a lawsuit that alleged it produced a tainted shot that caused a man's death in 2004.

 

Allegations of a shot contaminated with a form of meningitis were center to a lawsuit filed against New England Compounding Center over the 2004 death of an elderly man, the Boston Herald is reporting.

An 83-year-old man died about a year and a half after receiving a shot produced by the Framingham company connected with the current rash of fungal meningitis that has killed at least a dozen people and sickened 130 others.
