UPDATED: Framingham AMC Closed Without Explanation

AMC says the blizzard forced the closure and hops to re-open Tuesday night.

UPDATE 2:15 p.m. Tuesday:

It was the weekend blizzard that dropped more than two feet of snow in Framingham from Friday through Saturday that has caused the theater's closure, according to theater officials.

"We're working to reopen due to some issues caused by the storm," said AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan. "We do not have a specific timeline, but we hope to open as soon as possible this week."

A piece of paper on the door at AMC Framingham greets would be movie-goers at the dark theatre on Flutie Pass.

"THEATRE CLOSED We apologize for any inconvenience."

That's it. No answer on the business's website either.

Where movie times would usually be is a blank box, although movie times are listed for tomorrow, Tuesday.

I've been sitting in the parking lot for about 20 minutes and seen dozens of cars drive through. Seems like no one got the memo they were closed.

With so many ways to inform the public...you'd think they would have taken advantage!

Are the owners up to date with property taxes paid to Framingham?

I would have assumed people to call like I did... Or you could just go on any movie site and realize there were no showtimes listed... It's your own fault for driving out there to see a showtime that doesn't exist...

Maybe because they have SO much snow on their roofs along with the other tons of heating/cooling units on top of the building that they're looking out for public safety?!?
