Framingham Ballerina Cast As Clara in Nutcracker

A Walsh Middle School student was cast as Clara in Walnut Hill School for the Art's 2012 production of the The Nutcracker.

 

Caroline Mack of Framingham was cast as Clara in Walnut Hill School for the Arts' 2012 production of The Nutcracker.

Mack, a Walsh Middle School sixth grade student, has been studying ballet since before she started school.

Shows began Dec. 4, but Mack still has two performances left, if you would like to catch her on stage. She will perform as Clara on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. and her final performance is Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Perrin Theater in the Keiter Center for the Performing Arts on the Natick campus of the Walnut Hill School for the Arts. Tickets, if still available, are $25 adults and $18 cildren.

Dancers from all over America are a part of the cast.

Founded in 1893, Walnut Hill in the 1970s became a high school for the arts. Students major in one of five arts - ballet, music, theatre, visual art, and writing & publishing. Admission to the Natick boarding school is by academic application and artistic audition.
