Cultural Council Awards 29 Grants Totaling Almost $20,000

The Framingham Cultural Council will hold an appreciate event for the 29 grant winners on May 7 at the Amazing Things Art Center.

 

Framingham Cultural Council awarded 29 grants totaling $19,172 out of the 40  grant applications requesting a total of $41,210.

Of these grants, 24 are for artistic projects and activities in Framingham and five provide subsidies for school-aged children to attend cultural field trips. The grants are for exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops, lectures and support for one capital project.

Framingham Cultural Council Co-Chair said, “We had so many great applicants this year and the cultural projects were outstanding.” The Framingham Cultural Council will hold an appreciation event on May 7 at the Amazing Things Art Center to recognize those who have received a grant.
