The Framingham varsity hockey team defeated Needham 3-1 on Wednesday, extending the Flyers' record to 10-1 in their division.

"We've been really diciplined this year," Head Coach, Paul Spear said. "Today though I thought we were pretty sloppy."

During the game, volunteers sold raffle tickets and entrance to the "chuck-a-puck" contest to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Last year, the event brought in more than $500 to help fight cancer.

"We're really happy that we can do our small part to help," Coach Paul Spear said after the game.
