Framingham Hockey Helps Fight Cancer with Fundraiser
Framingham Hockey defeated Needham on Thursday and raised funds for the American Cancer Society in the process.
The Framingham varsity hockey team defeated Needham 3-1 on Wednesday, extending the Flyers' record to 10-1 in their division.
"We've been really diciplined this year," Head Coach, Paul Spear said. "Today though I thought we were pretty sloppy."
During the game, volunteers sold raffle tickets and entrance to the "chuck-a-puck" contest to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
Last year, the event brought in more than $500 to help fight cancer.
"We're really happy that we can do our small part to help," Coach Paul Spear said after the game.
