Framingham State Names New Development, Alumni Relations Director
Eric Gustafson will oversee the university's fundraising and alumni activities.
Framingham State University has named Eric P. Gustafson as the executive director of development and alumni relations. He will oversee all of the University’s fundraising activities, as well as alumni relations and activities. He starts. Feb. 6.
“Eric has the experience, knowledge, attitude, and motivation to be successful in
leading Framingham State University's fundraising efforts,” President Timothy J. Flanagan said in a statement. “We’re excited to have him on board.”
Gustafson comes to Framingham State from Anna Maria College, in Paxton, where he had been serving as the Director of Advancement since 2008. At Anna Maria, he successfully increased alumni engagement in the college and rebuilt the advancement program from the ground up. Prior to joining Anna Maria, Gustafson served as the director of the Annual Fund at Muskingum College in Ohio.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Marietta College, a master’s
degree in Political Science from UMass Amherst and a master’s degree in Criminal
Justice from Anna Maria College.
Gustafson is currently president of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the
Association of Fundraising Professionals. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Rainbow Child Development Center in Worcester, and the Board of Governors for the Greendale Family YMCA in Worcester.
