Ginger Esty to Withdraw From Selectmen Race; Bower & Sisitsky Unopposed

After not attending tonight's Selectmen's meeting, Esty showed up after the meeting to announce she will withdraw her papers at the town's clerk's office for re-election.

 

Selectman Ginger Esty will not seek re-election to the Framingham Board of Selctmen.

She did not attend Tuesday night's meeting.

After the meeting adjourned, she showed up with a boot on one of her feet and told her fellow Selectmen she plans to withdraw her nominations papers for re-election at the Framingham Town Clerk's office tomorrow.

Esty has been a selectmen for a dozen years.

Esty and Sisitsky were running for re-election and were being challenged for one of the two seats available by School Committee member Mike Bower.

Bower and Sisitsky are now running unopposed for the April 9 election. There are two, 3-year seats available.
