Girl Scouts Begin Selling Cookies Today
Framingham Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at the Memorial Building tonight during the town's annual tree lighting to raise funds for a Washington DC trip, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts.
Framingham Girl Scouts will begin door-to-door cookie sales today. Girl Scouts from all over Eastern Massachusetts kick off their annual cookie sales today. Boxes are $4 each, including the best-selling Thin Mints.

In 2012, Girl Scouts will celebrate its 100th year.
Framingham Girl Scouts are planning special events throughout town. Nationally, hundreds and hundreds of Scouts will Rock the Mall in Washington DC in June to celebrate the 100th anniversary.
The Scouts selling cookies tonight are raising money for the special once-in-a-lifetime washington DC trip. More than 40 Scouts from Framingham will be traveling to Washington DC in June 2012.
Please consider helping their cause by purchasing a box of cookies tonight.
And don't forget to help the more than 400 Girl Scouts in Framingham by purchasing a box of cookies either via door-to-door sales through mid-January and at booth sales through March 2012.
Framingham has Girl Scouts in every public school in town, along with Scouts in St. Bridget School and Marian High. Money from cookie sales helps Framingham Scout troops maintain programs. A portion of sales also go to Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, which helps fund programs and summer camps.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led business in the country and generates immeasurable benefits for girls, their councils and communities. Girls set cookie sales goals to support their chosen activities for the year, to fund community service, leadership projects, to attend summer camp, to travel to destinations near and far and much more.
The activity of selling Girl Scout cookies is directly related to our purpose of helping all girls realize their full potential and become strong, confident, and resourceful citizens.
