Woman Shot in Rear End; Police Investigating

Framingham police are investigating two reports of shots fired, including a shooting that landed a woman in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was shot early Saturday morning on Morton Street, the apparent culmination of a series of events that started at a Beaver Court party, according to Framingham Police.

She was admitted to MetroWest Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. She was later transported to Tufts Medical Center for surgery. Her name was not released.

According to Framingham Police, the shooting of the woman took place Saturday on Morton Street, following a report two hours earlier of gunshots fired on Beaver Court.

Police made an arrest yesterday, April 1, in connection with the shootings.

At 8:30 p.m., Christopher Cardona, 22, of 65 Holliston St., Medway, was located outside of 150 Second St. by Officer Greg Reardon, Det. Robert Lewis and Massachusetts State Police Trooper Kevin Connolly. He was arrested and charged with discharging firearm and having a revoked license.

At about 2 a.m. Saturday, March 31, Framingham Police were dispatched to 15 Morton St. for a report of a large group or fight.

While on scene, Framingham Police Sgt. Marty Keith located a firearm on the ground outside of this address, said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Ron Brandolini. Police began an investigation at the scene.

Shortly afterward, Framingham police Officer John Skinnion repsonded to MetroWest Medical Center for a report of a vehicle blocking the hospital's driveway.

"Subsequently, police learned a person had been brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound," said Brandolini. "Officer Skinnion then learned that the person was shot while sitting inside of a vehicle, while it was parked outside of 15 Morton St."

Police towed the vehicle from the hospital to the police station.

Det. Joseph Godino, Det. Stacey Macaudda and other police while investigating the shooting at 15 Morton St., received information from witnesses there was a "preceding incident/party/shooting" that had occurred on Beaver Court just after midnight on March 31.

"This shooting incident on Beaver Court started as a party ... but it ended after gun fire broke out," said Brandolini. "A second party was then thrown at 15 Morton St. and several people, who had attended the Beaver Court party also went to the 15 Morton St. party."

"Witnesses observed Cardona firing a gun that morning at the Beaver Court address," said Brandolini.

Framingham Police are still investigating. If anyone has information, call 508-532-5924.

Something the "Revitilize" Framingham group might want to look into.
Might want to wear your body armor if you visit the street.

II would assume that the police are going to get to the "bottom" of this rather quickly.
