UPDATED: High School Student Arrested; Charged with Rape on School Bus
A Framingham High school student was arrested yesterday at Framingham High and charged with raping a girl on a school bus.
A Framingham High School student was arrested yesterday at Framingham High.
The 15-year-old boy was charged with rape of a child under age 16 and sexual assault and battery of a child under 14.
The boy is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl on a school bus.
As it is an ongoing investigation, involving teens, it is unlikely details will be made public.
A call was made to the Superintendent of Schools for comment on the arrest and safety on the school buses.
At 3:30 p.m. Superintendent Steven Hiershe issued the following statement:
"Please contact the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office for any comment. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office can be reached at 781-897-8888."
The District Attorney's office refused to comment on the incident late this afternoon.
The school district never issued a letter to parents at the high school or issued a statement to parents on the safety of their school buses. Most parents found out about the arrest from the media.
School buses have video cameras. Framingham Patch is aware of cases when the tapes have been viewed in elementary school disciplinary issues.
It is unknown, if the video camera was working on the high school bus or if a tape was in the camera for this specific bus.
It has not been confirmed by school leaders, if there were any other students on the bus when the incident took place, but discussions among high school students on Facebook indicated there were other students on the bus.

The arrested student should be charged with the rape as an adult and additional charges such as public lewdness, all and any additional charges levied that can be added and hopefully a conviction of 20 to 40 years in jail with no parole should teach him what he was not taught at home by his parents or did not obey what he was taught (if he was). Also the driver of the bus should be asked some question and maybe find out his or her possible silence or ignoring of the signs seen by her/him and charges also placed if some liability rests with the driver.

Imagine the parents found out about this incident through the media. Nice job Mr Hiershe squirts.
How about a bit more transparency here? Is this going to be like the SWAT killing where Months and MONTHS go by to keep everyone in the dark?

Parents received an email from Mr. Welch, FHS Principal, around 4:30pm yesterday informing them of the incident.

Any chance you would be interested in forwarding it? - Susan.Petroni@patch.com
If not, does it ease parents concerns about safety on the buses?

It really just informed us that there was an incident that would be on the news and as more info is released he will let us know. Nothing about bus safety.

Thanks for the update! From what I am hearing (and getting via e-mails and texts) parents are concerned about bus safety and how this could happen on a school bus.
And I am also hearing that the letter you received only went out to parents of high school students, who take the bus, not all parents of FHS students. Thanks again!

The Framingham School system is a dangerous place to be, as are most schools today.
Lot's of anger and frustrations, amongst the students, and the school yard is where it usually boils over.
Imagine having a police officer assigned to the schools?
When I was in school this was unheard of.
I've had parents tell me about things that never made the paper, like girls assaulting other girls and knives being pulled on people.
There have been numerous assaults, etc but it's all covered up by the PR police.
The only time it gets in the news is when the story is in everyone's face like the school bus incident.
Hard to keep that from being spread around when many students witnessed the event.
Funny how the parents keep defending the schools with all this going on.
It's called denial, and in many cases this is the only way people can deal with it.
Just like all the other problems that the town has.
People would rather shoot the messenger than deal with reality.
I should know I've been "shot" many times.

This is the e-mail Framingham High Prinicpal Mike Welch sent to parents yesterday after 4:30 p.m.:

"Hi All,
Some of you may be seeing media coverage of FHS tonight on the news. I know that many of you will have questions about this coverage, but because there is an active, on-going investigation by the Framingham Police and the Middlesex County District Attorney's office, we have been advised that all information will be handled and disseminated by the District Attorney's office.
If more information is released, I will inform the school community immediately.
Mike Welch"

I don't understand why everyone is asking about "bus safety" This has NOTHING to do with bus safety. It has everything to do with the honor, integrity and virtue of the students who take the buses and go to the Framingham public schools. I would start thinking about that before you all start this "bus safety" false flag.

I guess people ask about bus safety because there's an allegation that there was a rape on a bus. if there was a mugging on the village green, I suppose people would wonder if that were safe.
Of course it's always a few bad individuals who cause these problems. and of course it's not the locations that are the problem. it's the people who frequent the location and how those areas are monitored.

Yes, but what if the "mugging" started off as a willful donation and because of a disagreement after the "donation" and became a mugging by the donator LATER on? You get what what I'm saying?
So the possibility of this being a "rape" in the first place could be blown way out of proportion because of the stringent sex laws and the fact that girls/women/ and men haters can make up anything they want. So lets really see if this is what it was made up to be. Of course if this is like the SWAT killing this could take forever.....

Jim Rizoli from CCFIILE.COM said...Schools in general are the worse place to be for safety. Why do you think they have a full time cop there?
Think about it......Children are more likely to be sexual assaulted by teachers than in any other public sector. (not that this happens in Framingham) not to my knowledge anyway.
Drugs, sex, and violence are more centered there where most of the kids go to learn...So when you think about it, when a child goes to school they go from the frying pan to the fire.
