Hurricane Sandy: Share Your Photos

Stay safe: don't go out of your way to snap pics of the storm. But if you have 'em anyway, we want to see 'em.

Thanks to Ricky Finlay for this photo of a downed tree at Danforth and Cottage that knocked out power to the neighborhood.

Hurricane Sandy: wind whipping the trees along Poplar Street at 1:30 p.m.
Tree falling on power line on access road to a pump house on Hemenway Road
Hemenway Road loses power...
Huge gust that split half a weeping willow tree, uprooted my neighbor's giant elm, and split utility pole on our front yard in half (with live wires now blocking 4 driveways including ours at end of McAdams). I shot it from our screened in porch but freaked out and ran inside after the willow branch fell in our yard.

We are in for a windy, wet ride as Hurricane Sandy barrels through the area. Depending on where you live or work, your storm experience is bound to be different than that of your friend who lives across town.

Let's pool our collective experiences through photographs here on Framingham Patch and tell the story of this storm together.

You don't have to be in the middle of the storm to take a picture. We're even interested in seeing the view from your window.

Just click the "Upload Your Photos and Videos" button and show us what's happening near you.

But above all: be safe!

@Nicole - remember to either operator the generator outside or ventilate to avoid an increase carbon monoxide in the house. Too many people forget ... so hopefully this warning is for all.

Thanks Susan for the reminder - people do some foolish things with generators. Thankfully my husband is an electrician and knows the drill - he has come across many dangerous situations that homeowners have created.
