IMAGE GALLERY: Framingham Memorial Day Ceremony [VIDEO]
More than 100 people attended Monday's Memorial Day Ceremony in Framingham on the steps of the Memorial Building.
Led by the Framingham Firefighters, Local 1652 Color Guard, a small parade left William Welch Way to the step of the Memorial Building Monday, just before noon.
Marching were members of the Framingham Boy Scouts and Framingham Girl Scouts, as well as family members and Veterans.
Upon their arrival, the Scouts marched on to the steps of the Memorial Building and led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance to start the town's Memorial Day Ceremony.
Framingham Chaplain Robert Anspach gave the invocation and then Framingham Veterans Agent Peter Harvell welcome everyone to the ceremony.
State Rep. Tom Sannicandro and Selectman Jason Smith gave brief remarks.
There was a scholarship presentation and then Harvell introduced the keynote speaker - Takia Rust of Framingham.
