Framingham's Mary Z. Connaughton debated Massachusetts State Treasurer Steve Grossman at Sunday's Temple Beth Am Brotherhood breakfast.
The focus of Sunday's Temple Beth Am Brotherhood breakfast was the hotly contested Massachusetts senate race between Elizabeth Warren and Sen. Scott Brown.
Brown was in Natick running in the 13th Annual Eastern Bank Flutie 5K road race to benefit the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, located in Framingham.
Warren was greeting the 40,000 participants in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk in Boston Sunday morning.
So as the candidates had prior commitments, Massachusetts State Treasurer Steve Grossman (a Democrat) represented Warren, and Framingham's Mary Z. Connaughton (former Republican candidate for state auditor) represented Brown in a debate offering their views of where their party's candidates stand on the issues. Former Worcester Mayor Jordan Levy acted as moderator.
