Located in Pinefield Shopping Plaza, the grand opening coincided with Jingle Bell Day, celebrating Saxonville.

Owners Sean and Brenda Lando were too busy to talk yesterday, with long lines and lots of order to fulfill; but before the opening Brenda told Framingham Patch, "LandoZ Hometowne Grille hopes to bring to Framingham family-friendly and affordable comfort foods ranging from mini slider burgers for the kids to the Big Dog and the Double Dog Dare challenge for the adults."

Spotted inside were Selectmen Chair Charlie Sistisky and his fiancee Robin Kaye and Selectman Jason Smith with his family. Both said it was great to see residents supporting a new business.

The crowd ranged from long-time Saxonville residents, to families to high school students.

One of the signature item's of LandoZ Hometowne Grille is the hot dogs. You can get The Rookie, a hot dog with ketchup only with fries for $4.99 or a Chili Dog with chili, cheese and onions and fries for $5.99.

Hot dogs come single, Foot Long or The Big Dog.

The restaurant offers a Double Dog Dare Challenge. "Order 2 Big Dogs dressed with large fries" for $24; if you eat the dogs and the pound of fries in 20 minutes, you get the meal free, your photo hung on the "Wall of Fame" and a t-shirt. If you fail the challenge, you pay for the meal and your photos goes on the "Wall of Shame."

The owners, have lived in Framingham for 18 and have two children, one a freshman at Framingham High and the other a sophomore in college.
