Jason Smith To Be Awarded the 2012 Framingham Good Scout Award
The Good Scout Award is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated integrity and genuine concern for others in both their professional and personal lives.
For his involvment with youth in Framingham, Knox Trail Council Boy Scouts of America will award Jason Smith of Framingham with the 2012 Framingham Good Scout Award later this month.
The Good Scout Award is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated integrity and genuine concern for others in both their professional and personal lives.
The recipients need not have been Scouts but must carry the “Spirit of Scouting” into their adult lives.
Smith has been very involved in with youth sports teams in Framingham including baseball, football and basketball. As a coach, he has served as a role model to many Framingham youth over the years.
Smith has served on the Framingham Board of Selectman since 2006. He is a past mentor of the John Maize Foundation and is committed in making a difference in the lives of many.
This reception will take place on Wednesday Sept. 19 at Ken’s Steak House, 95 Worcester Rd. with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7.
The deadline for tickets is Sept. 7.
