Lawnmower Fire Kills Former Framingham Police Officer
Robert A Sambuchi suffered fatal burns in the backyard of his home in Dennis Monday.
The victim, identified as Robert A. Sambuchi, suffered fatal burns in the backyard of his Dennis home about 1:30 p.m. Monday, State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan told Boston.com.
“He was refueling the lawn mower when it either spilled or leaked” before sparking the fire, Dennis Assistant Fire Chief John Donlan told Boston.com. “It just appears to be a tragic accident.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
