Just received a reverse 911 call from Framingham. The Town is asking residents to still stay home. There is a Red Cross shelter available at the Woodward Memorial school in Southborough. If you need a ride to the shelter call the Framingham Emergency Operations Center at 508-532-5800. Residents are asked to call NSTAR at 1-800-592-2000 if you have a power outage.

As the storm has winded down, Framingham residents please keep these numbers in mind...
For emergencies, call the Town of Framingham Emergency Operations Center at 508-532-5800.
•For high water and flooding issues, call the Framingham Fire Department at 508-532-5940
•NSTAR: 1-800-592-2000 (to report gas and electric outages)
and still best to stay off the roads so DPW clean up and NSTAR can address wires that came down.

Hi there! New England Cable News employee here at work but unfortunately my condo complex near Temple street is still without power. If you have family or friends who have no power in the metrowest/Boston areas and can give them a shout out, then please tell them that New England Cable News is simulcasting on 96.9 to help you keep up with storm info (and to help with the boredom....lol).
And guys, thanks so much for this comment section! It will help me to inform my family about the reasons for the outage (I'm assuming its the Temple/Salem End lines down) and when it might be back up! You are the best!

It is my guess that approx 75% of Framingham has no power including two fire stations and 22 pumping stations."

@Sydney -- Kim Taylor, the Dunning Elementary principal, posted on the Framingham Patch Facebook page -- "We haven't had any notification of changes with tomorrow."
There is no message on the high school phone and nothing posted on the FPS website about a delay or cancelled start -- so as of now - 9th graders report at nomral time. They are scheduled for an early dismissal.
***
Prinicpal Taylor also told us that while Dunning has power she won't make a decision on the K event, scheduled for tomorrow, until she sees what the playground area looks like in the mornning.
***
Check out our facebook page - as readers who have no power, have been using their smartphone and posting updates all day.
***
If we get word the 9th grade orientation is cancelled or delayed, we'll post here and on the facebook page.

NSTAR said there are crews working "round the clock" but last report at @600,000 people w/o power in Massachusetts, more than 200,000 NSTAR customers. Not sure how many of those are Framingham customers.
*** I have been hearing from residents in the Water/Potter/Hemenway/Harrington neighborhoods that power is still out. I didn't seen any crews in that area when I last ventured out to take photos - but that was before 8 p.m.

(Very nice cheeseburger deep dish pizza...yum!)

It was very weird to drive down rt9 westbound and go from lights in Staples/Ruby Tuesday plaza ON but then see a swath of darkness up until Framingham university. i hope those still without power stay strong and know that it can't last long!
