MetroWest Regional Transit Authority Wins Award

MetroWest Regional Transit Authority awarded Employer of the Year by the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.

 

The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority was awarded the Mass 2012 Vision Award for Employer of the Year by the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, at the annual consumer conference, sponsored by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Massachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council last week.

The Framingham-based Authority was commended for its diverse hiring practices and its commitment to working in cooperation with the Commission for the Blind to employ visually impaired individuals.

The award was presented to MetroWest Regional Transit Authorit Administrator Ed Carr, and his staff, by Massachusetts Commission for the Blind Commissioner Janet LaBreck.
