Oprah: ‘Most Rewarding Thing For Me' Happened on Trip to Framingham
Oprah says Framingham Bed, Bath & Beyond is a "really cool store!"
Oprah Winfrey appearing on CBS Ths Morning Thursday discussed her visit to Massachusetts last month to help several young women from South Africa who are part of the first graduating class of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
"In five years, I will tell you, the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced is not the graduation, which I thought at the time was. The most rewarding thing for me was recently, being in Boston, putting my girls’ in school and going to Bed, Bath and Beyond (in Framingham)," Oprah told CBS This Morning.
As Oprah detailed dropping the girls off at college, Gayle King interjected, joking that Oprah made her first ever trip to "Bed, Bath, and Beyond" in Framingham.
King did not hide her astonishment. "Everybody's heard of it," she said.
"Well I didn't know what it was. I thought it was a little boutique," Oprah apparently said in her own defense. "But, it's really a cool store!"
Oprah said she enjoyed shopping in Bed, Bath & beyond and Target with her students. While shopping in Framingham, Oprah tweeted pics of her shopping spree.
