Police: Armed Robber Pointed Handgun at Clerk

A man, who robbed a Waverly Street market Tuesday night, is still wanted by police.

Framingham Police are still looking for the man who robbed AV's II Market at 890 Waverly St. Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m.

A manhunt, with dogs, did not lead to an arrest.

An employee at AV's II Market told Police a black man wearing a black hooded jacket and latex gloves pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and threatened to shoot him, if the clerk didn’t give him money, said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini.

Brandolini said the clerk gave the suspect "several thousand dollars."

The man then left the store and headed towards Ashland on Waverly Street, said Brandolini.

AV's II Market is located across the street from La Cantina and a block from Framingham Bakery Company.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Framingham police at 508-872-1212.
