Labor Day has been filming in Massachusetts with Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin and James Van Der Beek.

The movie is based on the novel by the same name, written by Joyce Maynard.

The movie is about a depressed single mon and her son Henry, 13, who offer a wounded man a ride. As police search the community for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story.

Maguire is reported to be playing an older version of Henry.
