SWAT, Detectives Make Arrest in Fay Road Neighborhood

Police arrested a Framingham man, 19, on Wilson Avenue Tuesday night.

 

Framingham Police, following an investigation, arrested Miguel A. Cancel, 19, of 24 Wilson Ave. of Framingham, at 9:46 p.m.

He was charged with possession of a marijuana (Class D drug) with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm without a license and possession of ammunition.

A Framingham Police SWAT vehicle, detective vehicles and ambulance was parked at the corner of Fay Road and Waverly Road just after 9 p.m.

Last week, Framingham Police held a community meeting with residents of the Fay Road neighborhood to discuss drug and alcohol use at Roosevelt Park and traffic concerns, including speeding on Fay Road.

Wilson Avenue is parallel to Fay Road.
