Thank you for more details as to which teachers died saving children. But I am glad for the surviving teachers and their families. It sounds like all the teachers did their job with honor that day.

truly i feel pity for these children teachers n the principal, but y the powers can't see those children who get attacked during there meals, praying, classes, during there dreams with bombs n other severe killings in Palestine Burma Kashmir n so on? y the feelings are so different for Muslim children? plz President Obama declare this person this killer as a terrorist not a psychic or mentally retarded or bla bla bla now this is the time to show ur humanity!!!!!!!!!

I am surprised to see all the comments and news on this tragedy. First, the person who commited this crime was sick/ill, not evil but mentally ill. Then we talk about weapon bans, I agree assault weapons should be banned, and maybe the TX politician should be evaluated stating principals should carry guns and shoot mentally ill people who may target schools of innocent children. It should be handeled before it even gets to this level... at home, and with the appropriate doctors or medical professionals. Many people deal with mentally ill children, but do not have the experience medical professionals have dealing with the disorders or medical conditions. We need to focus on early intervention and diagnosing this problem.....and ban assault weapons. I disagree Principals should carry guns to shoot people , just another opportunity to bring unwanted guns into schools.

they keep talking about this one teacher who hid with her students which is great but not one even says anything about the teacher VICKY who not only hid her kids students i call them her kids as she put their lives before hers like the bible say she died for her kids just like JESUS did for us . but i havent heard a thing about how great she was as she is now gone because she thought of the kids not herself .blessed is the man who would lay down his own life for a friend . she lived up to that one ,know she should be spoken off she was the hero not the other teacher sorry but this teacher should be spoken off greatly she was only 27 and died for others i would love to of had her for any one of my kids or grandkids she will be greatly missed and i dont even know her ...

no one ever talks about this teacher VICKY SOTO even in church her name wasnt spoken of this is very sad ..all of This never should have ever happened but did i pray for all the parents that lost their loved oneS even the teachers etc that died they are someone child also .

Agreed, there were other teachers last Friday who did heroic acts.
