Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

TELL US: Who Makes a Difference in Framingham?

Help showcase people who are doing great things in your community with our new feature, Count Us In.

Your neighbor who volunteers at the library, your child’s bus driver, and the youth soccer coach in your community may not seem to have much in common at first glance.

But Patch’s new initiative, Count Us In, aspires to bring together all Good Samaritans by highlighting residents who are exemplary at making your community a more positive place.

Partnering with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC), Count Us In aims to illustrate HPHC's values. They believe that “amazing things happen when people work together” and that is why we want to share stories about just that.

If you know someone who exemplifies being a good neighbor, volunteer or teacher—or someone who has simply helped the community in an inspiring way—please tell us about it in the comments section below or email the Framingham Patch editor at susan.petroni@patch.com

Your local editor will keep an eye on the conversation below too and will be writing articles about all of the amazing people and stories you share.

We welcome all great stories coming from great people in the community.

I wish I could vote for our Selectmen and/or Town manager for doing great things for our community. But their continued lack of action on the Building Inspector issue sniffs that there is more there than what we are being led to believe. Passing it off to the DA who has been 'investigating' it for over 300 days is purely irresponsible and shows a COMPLETE lack of leadership. No one in the private sector would have ever been given such a long dragged out investigation - how many days did the TV station spend investigating it, a couple?

Come on Framingham leaders give us a reason to cast a vote for you in this category and put the Foley issue to bed once and for all. At the moment it just appears to be wait out the public until they forget about it - and move on to other issues. Framingham taxpayers have had enough of watching a guy get paid for more than 300 days for doing nothing!
