UPDATE: Town Manager, Selectmen Agree to 3-year Contract; Starts June 4 at $165,000
Framingham Selectmen announced Tuesday night they and Bob Halpin have agreed to a 3-year contract and the new Town Manager will start June 4.

Framingham Selectmen announced Tuesday night that they and Halpin had agreed to a 3-year contract.
Halpin will be paid $165,000. After six-months he will be reviewed and if his performance meets expectations he will receive a $5,000 raise, for an annual salary of $170,000, said Selectman Chair Charlie Sisitsky.
Former Town Manager Julian Suso was paid 152,654 at the end of his 5-year term. Suso's contract was not renewed in March 2011 by a vote of 4-1.
Suso also received a stipend for $7,500 for his ICMA certification and $7,250 in deferred compensation for a total of $167,350. His salary was set 2 years ago and no increase was given during his transition period, said Selectman Dennis Giombetti.
Halpin's contract also provides him with four weeks of vacation, starting in 2013. He will receive 10 vacation days this year. Halpin is eligible for 15 sick days per year and three personal days.
