VIDEO and IMAGE GALLERY: Soccer Under the Lights

In the first game Bryce Nardizzi scored the lone goal as the Framingham Strikers defeated the Natick Vikings.

 

Several hundred people attended the kick-off celebration for the 30th Annual Memorial Day Classic Soccer Tournament at Bowditch Field Friday night.

Before the game spectators had their faces painted and had tattoos air brushed on them. They received bubbles from the Framingham Patch tent and Frisbees from the Framingham Co-operative Bank tent. The Lions Club sold food.

In the first game, Bryce Nardizzi scored the lone goal as the Framingham Strikers defeated the Natick Vikings.

In the nightcap game, the Framingham Fever battled the Holliston Storm.

All day today (Saturday) more than 100 soccer teams were competing in the two-day tournament throughout Framingham. Games will continue tomorrow, May 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at several fields throughout Framingham.

Team from New England and New York travelled to Framingham to compete this weekend.

Players and their families may relax tonight at the Keefe Tech pool from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Tomorrow, May 29 from noon to 1 p.m. Boston Breakers Goalkeeper Kelsey Davis will be signing autographs at Galvani Field, as part of the Framingham United Soccer Club Memorial Day Classic soccer tournament.
