Obviously who wouldn't enjoy Veterans day and its festivities?. Ask Jesse Ventura a former navy seal. He like so mad at America and its current stand on defending foreign wars that he has publicly made it known that he won't participate any more for the National Anthem.
Americans have to realize that America isn't the bastion of "truth" and the American way any more. Our country is involved in foreign wars that we have NO business in. Ron Paul has made that known many times. When the so called Taliban had control of Afghanistan it was the death penalty to be involved in the heroin trade. Now that America has become involved in that fiasco the Americans protect the heroin trade with armed American standing guard.
Iraq was a war based on LIES because of the lies of 911. NO weapons of mass destruction, NO tie in to Sadam Hussain. The result a country destroyed, MILLIONS of children dead because of American involvement. Our country can't even fix it's own infrastructure yet now we have to fix up Iraq.
Iran another to be war that Israel is forcing us into. Lies being spread about Iran's supposed nuclear weapons capacity, they have none. Israel complains about Iran's violations, yet it is she that has not complied truthfully with weapons inspections since the opening of its Dimona "nuclear" plant. Mordecai Vanunu exposed all of that. So really what does America have to be proud of? You tell me.

I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him. ~Abraham Lincoln

If you ever want to feel the true effects of Veterans' Day visit a nursing home. Here you will find grandchildren hugging grandparents with proud tears in thier eyes thanking them for their sacrifices in WWII, Korea, and Veitnam.

Considering all the bad brought into this world by dictators and tyrants, the U.S.A. looks like a shining star. There's alot of bad in every country and in every race and creed but the United States of America is still the last great chance for human freedom. Every good American should work toward that end.

Veterans' Day is not about wars or politics. Veterans' Day is about the men and women that have selfishly served this country in times of war and pease to make it the safest place in the World to live.
Thank You.

Donald: I completely agree. Veterans Day is a non-political event. It is a day to honor the men and women who have and still protect us and our freedoms.

Again, I would like thank all the veterans for securing the freedom so many of us take for granted.
Some of us forget that in other countries the words we speak can lead to death of, not only, the speaker, but also, their families.

Donald.....What freedoms have been secured by "our" fighting foreign wars?
We seem to take their "freedoms" away as we enjoy prosperity, if you call being taxed to death prosperity.
Is our prosperity more important than other peoples lives?
In this country freedoms only exist in your mind because in actuality if you don't agree with the rank and file you're toast.
The only reason I'm not shot or hung is because it's against the law. If it wasn't people like me that have an opinion would be corralled all together and done away with.
Mark my words. that day will come when that type of thinking will run the show here. Then I guess the "freedom" that you're speaking of, will be only a dream from the past, and our living here will be no better than the countries we're invading and trying to shove "democracy" done their throats.
One last point....you can't shove democracy down the throats of countries that are run by religious fanaticism...it just doesn't work, just like you can't instill morality in a country that rejects God, and the rule of law, like this country has.

I think the next time see a soldier buying a cup of coffee or some lunch we go up to him or her, shake hands and say, "thank you. This one's one me." That would send a great message.

Donald.....No disrespect here, the soldiers and all military personal have been duped by an evil, treacherous Govt. that is using them to kill and murder in many cases innocent people. If I did have the pleasure to meet one of these fine mislead folks I would say I'm sorry that they had to be the pawns on the chess board of life.
I would also say I hope God would forgive them if they actually had a hand in killing innocent people.
Hard to believe that good honest caring people, could be so mislead to think what they are doing is right.
I would like to see all military personal stay here in this country and defend our borders and protect us from the immediate threats more closer to home.
This going overseas and dying in countries that we have no business being there in the first place is not the way to serve our country, the good citizens, and most important almighty God.
