VIDEO: McAuliffe Students Recite Poetry for State Education Secretary
Two 8th grade students - Ben Williams and Sophia Plant, both of Framingham, recited their poems for the Massachusetts Secretary of Education and other guest in attendance during the school's charter presentation last week.
Last week was national charter school week (May 6-12) and the Massachusetts Commissioner of Education Mitchell D. Chester and the Massachusetts Secretary of Education Paul Reville made a visit to the Christa McAuliffe Regional Public Charter School to present the Framingham-based school with its charter renewal.
The school is celebrating its 10th year in 2012.
Charter Schools are celebrating 20 years, in 2012.

Great job, Ben & Sophia!!! It is not every day that you get to share your poetry & public speaking skills with the Commissioner of Education, Secretary of Education, and two state Representatives --- along with many other charter school leaders in the room!
