Warren at DNC: The System is Rigged Against the Middle Class
Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. What did you think of her speech?
The system is rigged against middle class families, and unchecked corporate greed will take us all down, according to Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren who spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night.
"Each generation built something solid so that the next generation could build something better," she said. "But not for many years. Talk to the construction worker from Malden who went nine months without a job... Talk to the student in Worcester who worked hard to finish his degree and now he's drowning in debt...The system is rigged against them."
Warren, who took the stage just prior to former president Bill Clinton, said Romney's plan to lower the richest American's taxes would send the economy spiraling backwards. She called several times for Americans to band together to work for the next generation's benefit.
- Did you watch Warren's speech?
- Do you think she did enough to address the concerns Americans have about jobs and the economy today?
- Do you believe the playing field in America is rigged?

your debt is YOUR fault, don't take out loans you can't afford.

Going along with that, don't complain that you can't find a job to pay back those loans when you come out of college with a useless degree like Creative Writing.

Can we be clear that BOTH candidates want to cut the corporate tax? Romney from 35% to 25%, and Obama from 35% to 28%....

.I think Elizabeth gave a wonderful speech that showed that she is very in touch with the issues that face the middleclass and her past work experience shows that she can deliver on those issues.

What a phony. The fact that she is running is a joke. Is this what we want to elect? God help us.

If we didnt have to pay so much in taxes in this state we'd have more to spend. To many hand outs, and some to not even LEAGAL CITIZENS of this country ,sickening!
And the dems want you to pay more, and support what it goes towards, like deval giving illegals,EBT cards, breaks on school tuition, free lunch programs, it goes on and on and on,no wonder they flock here, and drive illegally, steal jobs and use resources they have not contributed to ,enough is enough!
