Looks like Gerard Farms is closed again, too.

Agree on Nuwaves. It was a small specialty retailer trying to fight the good fight against the pharmacy chains and mall stores. They probably never had a chance, but good for them for trying.

SO sad about Nuwaves having closed. Best -- and only -- store of its type for miles around. Heartbreaking for a card-lover like me! I wish that spot, or somewhere else in town, would open with a similar type of business. It's much-needed!

The fitness club at the Sheraton Hotel that closed on Sunday. I loved it there because it was so quiet and uncrowded.

uncrowded = losing $$. Try Evolve next door. It's fantastic and only $30/month.

So in summer 2012 my husband's Nissan (serviced at this horrible dealer) left me stranded on the highway in New Hampshire. Turns out they did not connect all of the bolts and hoses and the engine did an emergency shutoff to...save my life. Nissan in Maine was beyond fantastic and they took photo and video to document everything. Nissan in Framingham refunded the $ for the service appointment, and I did not report them to the BBB. Horrible dealer and I say good riddance. They are lucky I did not press charges and get lawyers involved. I'm lucky I did not get hurt. So to see this Nissan dealer and the headline "sad". I'd have to say nope. They still owe me around $250 and sadly I don't think I'll ever see the $$ (wrote a letter to corporate).

I agree. My husband and I bought our last SUV there and we love Nissan but that dealership was plan rude. We bought the car and then 2 months later our wind shield wiper motor went and I felt that since we had just bought it and no we didnt get the extended warranty they told us we would have to pay full price, not even a discount or anything. They kept telling us "thats why we tell people to buy the extended warranty", I am glad they are closed. That was just one episode of many with our services that we got there. Ughhhh

I just heard that "Top Shelf" restaurant has closed. They were a small but excellent moderately priced restuarant.

@Brenda: I spoke to Top Shelf today and they are closed at the moment. They hope it is temporary closure.

I bought compact discs of Mana in Hispano Americana Record Shop (407 Waverly Street, corner Concord Street). The shop closed. People buy iTunes now rather than compact discs. Our New Year's Eve party used YouTube for music... no compact discs. Downtown Framingham does not yet have Shoppers World's quality of parking.
