Xtreme Fitness Voted Best Gym

Receiving 187 votes, out of more than 750 votes cast, Xtreme Fitness, an exercise and training company led by certified trainer Nicole Esposito Harding, won best gym in the Best of Patch contest.

In our "Best of Patch" contest this week, more than 750 voters cast their ballots for the best place to get fit in Framingham.

And the winner is: Xtreme Fitness.

Receiving 187 votes in the contest, Xtreme Fitness is an exercise and training company led by certified trainer Nicole Esposito Harding.

Harding said Xtreme Fitness, housed with Asian American Fighting Arts, is just a year old. Asian American Fight Arts is in its second year, she added.

Xtreme Fitness offers a "bootcamp-style workout," said Harding. Class participants go back-to-the-basics doing push-ups and chin-ups, but they also do cardio-kickboxing, regular boxing and self-defense tactics, said Harding.

Harding said she learned of the Framingham Patch contest from two of her clients Gina Fishman and Maureen Neiberger. After learning of the contest, she posted the contest link on the Xtreme Fitness Facebook page and her personal Facebook page.

Classes at Xtreme Fitness are 50 minutes, with a lot of bag work, said Harding. She said some clients come four times a week, most 2-3 times a week, and some only have time to fit one class a week into their schedule.

"Amazing workout, fabulous instructor, and phenomenal results ... plain and simple," wrote Neiberger.

"Fantastic class and awesome instructor! And I'm loving the results," wrote Fishman.

"No question that Xtreme Fitness is SO amazing. The people are amazing, so wonderful and kind. The classes are AWESOME and totally kick your behind. A terrific all around work out, especially for women!," wrote Amanda.

"Xtreme Fitness is the best! I will never go anywhere else. Workouts made fun and motivating with great results," wrote Lauren Schneiderman.

"Xtreme Fitness is the place to workout! Nicole is motivating and I have seen results after just three weeks. So happy my friends recommended that I check this gym out," wrote Bonnie Nectow.

"I am so proud to be part of such an amazing group. All the Xtremers should be proud today to be number one. They do the hard work! They are so supportive and we all are in this together," said Harding.

Focus on Fitness, came on strong at the end, and finished second in the "Best of" contest, with 158 votes.

MetroWest Boot Camp, with 147 votes, finished third. The MetroWest YMCA captured fourth place with 75 votes and the VaVa Voom Center finished fifth with 53 votes.

Next week, Framingham Patch is looking for the "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day." The voting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.
