Last Thursday night, I graduated from Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School, in which I attended for 3 years.
First of all, let me say that I STRONGLY reccomend the school to any parent or kid who is transitioning to middle school, and can talk hours on end to anybody interested in the school. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life, because I met amazing people, and had amazing experiences (such as sailing on Boston Harbor twice, and white water rafting in western MA.) I will miss McAuliffe, as if it were my home.
Students from McAuliffe come from many different towns, and go to many different schools such as: Keefe Tech, Natick High, Marian, Ashland High, or the school I am attending: Framingham High School, just to name a few. Almost all students stay in touch, which is a great thing, but it is still a change that many (including me) are uncomfortable with.
So, now on to the good change I promised in the title. I'M GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL! I've chosen electives and classes and am anticipating the schedule which will arrive in the mail sometime in August. I have already taken a tour of the school with my sister (its so confusing.) Also, being the theater kid I am, I am so close to being part of Framingham High's amazing drama company.
This might be the only time you will ever hear a teenager say: I can't wait for summer to end.
Framingham High School is my next great adventure. I am ready to take on the homework, the teachers, the confusing building (SO confusing), the "pool on the third floor," the classes, and the clubs. I can't wait to be a high schooler, and finally take that next step to adulthood. So bring it on, FHS! I'm ready to be a student, a friend, a backpack weight-lifting champ, and a freshman. I'm ready to be a high schooler.

Congrats! Soon the building will be your second home and you will be pointing the newcomers in the right direction. Enjoy the summer off, those end all too soon!

Jamey-- What a great attitude!! We hope you find high school to be as rewarding as middle school was...you'll have to write an update at some point! Wishing you all the best in the years to come. --The Wishnow family
