Here are the highlights of Framingham Youth Football E1 and E2 team games from this weekend:

E2: After defeating Wayland-Weston last week, the E2 football team went into their game against Milton hoping to kep up the momentum.

On Milton’s first possession, Framingham player Joseph Balboni recovered a Milton fumble on the Framingham 11-yard line. Framingham used this opportunity by striking first with a 90-yard touchdown run by Cody Coleman.

On Milton’s next possession, Framingham forced and recovered another fumble, this time at their 25-yard line. But Framingham failed to score again and Milton finally got on the board with a 25-yard touchdown run.

John Yerardi intercepted a Milton pass to end the first half, and the score at halftime at was 7-6 Milton.

The second half started with a bang, a 60-yard touchdown run on the kickoff by Coleman. But the touchdown was called back because of a penalty. Framingham couldn’t convert on that series, and had to give up the ball to Milton.

Framingham defense shut down Milton until Milton scored another touchdown a couple of series’ later in the game. Framingham tried to score again, but couldn’t, and Milton added on yet another score making the score 21-6. And that was the final score.

Framingham players gave a great effort. Coleman played a great game on both sides of the ball, and Balboni and Jackson Zanella made some good tackles on defense. Even though the score was far apart, it was actually a very close game.

E1:  Coming off a huge win last week, Framingham was looking to make a good last impression this week during their final home game.

The first half was full of great defensive plays. Mason Moy had a great tackle and Heriberto De Jesus and Richard Boston Jr. sacked the Milton quarterback for a loss.

Quarterback Jamar Williams connected with receiver Akye Boston for a long, 49-yard pass. Two plays later Framingham was on the board with a 1-yard touchdown run by Jamar Williams.

In the next series, Williams intercepted a Milton pass and returned it for 20 yards. Williams added on another score later in the quarter. Angel Montanez sacked the Milton quarterback and forced a fumble and Michael Tolson had an interception to close the first half. The score after the first half was 13-0 Framingham.

The Flyer defense continued to shut down Milton, as they forced one more fumble and Vincent Yeradi intercepted a pass by the Milton QB. Williams added on another score, this one for 50 yards and Framingham won 19-0.

Akye Boston also had some great rushes. Cory Hemmer, Montanez, De Jesus, and Waldeney Santos Jr. played great on defense.

Framingham electrified the crowd in their final home game, dominating from start to finish.

Both E teams will take on take on Wellesley in their final regular season games.

Very exciting E1 game. Well played by the team and coaching staff again. Hats off to the coaching staff. Very impressed how these boys played the game. Defense line speechless they played their hearts out. Definitely a hard hitting game. Always amazed to see what the defensive coach has up his sleeve in formation. Great job E1 this is a team to watch and follow. See you in Wellesley
