"Whiz Kids" is a report featuring Framingham individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even teams, who wow us with their accomplishments.
The Framingham School Committee officially recognized the academic accomplishments of three Framingham High School students Tuesday night at its meeting and added an impromptu thank you to the students’ parents.“We are so proud of you and you represent Framingham so well,” said School Committee vice chair Beverly Hugo after the students and parents stood and received a round of applause from the audience.The three Framingham High seniors -- Brian K. The Christa McAuliffe Charter Public School math team took fourth place at the Metrowest MathCounts earlier this month at the Meadowbrook School in Weston. More than 200 students from 27 schools competed in the MetroWest regionals. The McAuliffe team, by placing fourth, qualified for the state competition on March 9 in Boston. Coach Tom Bogue, a former MathCounts participant and a junior at Framingham High School led the team of Josh Dunbrack, Zach Dunbrack, Dave Rosch and Ariel Steinmaltz who were all eighth grade student. Valerie Enge, a senior at Marian High School in Framingham, was named a finalist in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Player of the Week program. Enge is a captain of the Marian High girl’s soccer team and has played on the Varsity team since her freshman year. She is the daughter of Eric Enge and Beth Dill of Southborough.

Whiz Kids' Accomplishments: Through their hard work in practice this team had an undefeated season.
